The Ask
Masoko is an e-commerce platform that is enabling sellers and buyers across Kenya to buy and sell different commodities by leveraging the power of the internet. The platform allows vendors to list the products they sell and for buyers to browse and make purchases. Masoko handles payments and delivery creating an efficient way to buy and sell different products. A key component of the platform that needs more attention is the vendor platform. The vendor platform should allow the onboarding of new vendors, inventory management, order management, financial settlement, notification management, and a document center for legal and other docs. Masoko approached MADE to explore working to working together on this.
Project Scope
- Conduct User Research on the current Masoko vendor platform
- Based on the research finding redesign the UI and UX of the vendor portal
- Design and develop a new version of the vendor portal
- Conduct usability testing of the redesigned vendor portal
The Outcome
New redesigned Masoko vendor portal that met the key pain points for the merchants by streamlining onboarding, stock management, sales, payments, and account reconciliations.
